Amidst the rolling farmlands and pastures of the Wisconsin Highway 27 ridgetops, St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church and the Eastman water tower create a pastoral tableau on the skyline as you approach this village perched at the junction of WI 27 and WI 179.
The Small Town with a Big Heart
Welcome to Eastman!
Waving flags on every light pole along main street hearken back to an earlier America, as people gather at the local ballpark to enjoy games, conversation, and concessions, both during the daytime and into the long summer nights under the lights.
Eastman is the “Little Town with a Big Heart” and is a fundamental piece of the Crawford County summertime experience, home to numerous celebrations during the warmer months of the year.
Independence Day is an essential part of the Eastman experience, with a legendary parade and fireworks display rounding out the festivities. Several fund-raising events are held through the year to bring the fireworks display to the community and surrounding county.
Eastman is the jumping off point for road trips into the surrounding ridges and valleys and is a short drive along Plum Creek Road to the Plum Creek Conservation Area, managed by the Mississippi Valley Conservancy and very near the DNR’s Kickapoo Wildlife Area-Wauzeka Unit that includes the Kickapoo Wild Woods State Natural Area.
